Which vehicles are affected by the london low emission zone?
Cars motorcycles lorries and vans that do not meet the criteria will all be affected by the ulez and will be subject to financial penalties if taken inside the zone 24 hours a day 365 days a year, below are listed the current vehicle emission standards of the ulez and the penalty if they do not meet the requirements.
Petrol cars - Euro 4 - approx 2005 or newer no charge - if older £12.50 per day.
Diesel cars - Euro 6 - approx 2015 or newer no charge - if older £12.50 per day.
Petrol vans, minibuses or ambulances - Euro 4 - approx 2006 and newer no charge - if older £12.50 per day.
Diesel vans, minibuses or ambulances - Euro 6 - approx 2016 and newer no charge - if older £12.50 per day.
Lorries buses & coaches - Euro 6 - approx 2014 and newer no charge - if older £100 per day with the penalty charge notice being a whopping £1000 if you forget to pay or do not pay.
